AHIMA Delegate Candidate Kamar Braish

Volunteer

Kamar Braish

MS, RHIA
(GOCHIA)

Position Statement

My commitment to the CHIA membership is to ensure that members are receiving the AHIMA Delegate’s updates on regular basis. I would communicate this information to the members via many venues including:

  • CLA’s board meetings
  • Introducing CHIA education and WebEx with a quick update from the AHIMA delegates.
  • Communicate in writing prior to face to face meetings
  • Communicate through the CHIA Journal and seek feedback from members
  • Utilize social media to communicate and send regular updates

I envision the AHIMA Delegate role to help the CHIA members become the “Think Tank” for the rest of the country. With that said, I would like to suggest that we create an AHIMA Delegate email through the CHIA website, where members from the entire state are empowered to send suggestions, new ideas, or concerns to promote the voice of the California members.

I would also publicize my personal email to encourage the members to reach out directly to me with their ideas, suggestions or concerns at Braishk@gmail.com.
