This event has become a popular traditional event for convention attendees. The auction is made possible through generous donations from you, our CHIA members, Component Local Associations, CHIA Vendor partners, exhibitors and others. Your support in prior years has been appreciated and we are looking forward to your donation to this Silent Auction.
What items you choose to offer to the Silent Auction is totally up to your own imagination and creativity. In the past we have received donations of artwork, vacation packages, food, books, craft and hobby items, wine, consulting and professional services, and gift certificates. There is no limit to the variety of items that can be a part of your donation to the Silent Auction.
Your donation of an item to the 2010 Silent Auction will help ensure that CHIA can continue to award scholarships to California’s HIM students. Proceeds from the annual CHIA Silent Auction helps to support CHIA’s Scholarship Fund, the Foundation for Active Member Education (FAME) program, and the HIA/HIT Program Grants.
This is a popular event for CHIA convention attendees and donation participation is the key to its success.
Important Information
Each Silent Auction donation reservation received before Friday, June 4, 2010 will be posted on the CHIA Web site with the donor/sponsor’s name and a brief description of the item donated and estimated value.
The CHIA State Convention & Exhibit will be held June 13 - 16, 2010, at the Sacramento Convention Center, 1400 St., Sacramento, CA 95814. Click here for program and registration details.
While all donations are appreciated and welcome, we suggest that the combined value of your donation be at least $100 in value.
Please bring your auction donation to the CHIA Registration area in the Sacramento Convention Center, West Lobby, on Sunday, June 14 from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm or Monday, June 15, between 7:00 - 9:00 am. The CHIA Registration staff will accept your donation and place it on display.
The Silent Auction items will be on display throughout the convention. The winners will be announced at the Exhibitor-sponsored Luncheon on Wednesday, June 16, 2010. Winners will be asked to pick up their items by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2010.

Please use the Silent Auction Reservation Form and send a description of your Silent Auction entry to CHIA by Friday, June 4, 2010. You may fax your reservation form, including description of entry, to (559) 251-5836 or e-Mail it to Kristin@californiaHIA.org.
