Notice of Proposed Rulemaking: CCORP Data Element Changes

Senate Bill 680 (Chapter 898), signed into law on October 14, 2001, established a mandatory Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) surgery reporting program within the Healthcare Quality and Analysis Division of the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development. The laws governing CCORP are in the Health and Safety Code Sections 128675-128810.

On January 9, 2012, the Healthcare Outcomes Center announced the publication of the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking with the Office of Administrative Law (OAL). The proposed regulations align CCORP data elements with changes to STS ver. 2.73.

You may view the OAL Notice at http://www.oal.ca.gov/Notice_Register.htm .

You may view the text of the proposed regulations and supporting documents on OSHPD’s website, http://www.oshpd.ca.gov/HID/CORC/LawsRegs.html .

No public hearing is scheduled; however, any interested person, or his or her duly authorized representative, may submit a written request for a public hearing, pursuant to Section 11346.8(a) of the Government Code.

OSHPD welcomes written comments regarding the proposed regulatory action. Written comments will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. PST on January 23, 2012. Written correspondence or questions regarding this announcement should be addressed to:
