Seminars & Webinars

CHIA conducts in-person seminars and Internet-based (virtual) webinars throughout the year. Each program is designed to bring you reliable and timely information delivered by leading health information management experts.

In-Person Seminars are traditional face-to-face meetings conducted in classrooms, hotel auditoriums, and similar locations. Each seminar program is generally held in at least two locations in California to facilitate an easier access within our large state. The in-person seminar benefits include immediacy, peer networking, and potential face-time with the instructors in addition to a more in depth presentation of the seminar topics. Attendees receive five or six continuing education units (CEUs), based on the length of the seminar.

Webinar meetings take place live and online, providing a convenient, economical collaborative training experience with real-time interaction between presenters and attendees. Register for a Webinar and any number of people at your location may listen for one low price. Each Webinar is 90 minutes, so it is an affordable and efficient way to receive important HIM industry information. Attendees receive two CEUs.

Convention & Exhibit

CHIA Convention and Exhibit is California’s premier event for health information management professionals. It offers education on a wide variety of HIM topics and networking opportunities to a wide spectrum of professionals, from entry-level, to middle and senior management, plus those involved in related fields. This exciting event is held annually in June.
