Legislative & Advocacy Committee Identifies Bills2Watch

Keep Up by Visiting the CHIA Bill Watch | Stay Informed | Build ‘Advocacy Intelligence’

Since January, more than one thousand bills have been introduced in the CA legislature. CHIA’s Legislative & Advocacy Committee evaluated over 100 to determine relevance for the health information profession. The key Bills impacting the profession will be identified and placed on  CHIA’s Bill Watch .

CHIA’s advocacy efforts support and contribute to AHIMA’s grassroots component association competition, where California’s HI leaders through CHIA, are challenging each other to make a difference as the LEADing Component Association. The Board of Directors approved the application and approval process, FAQs and component group guiding principles presented by the Component Group Task Force. Two applications are currently under review and updates will be provided during CHIA’s Annual Business Meeting on May 15.
