Her areas of responsibility include oversight of release of information for four acute care and three specialty care hospitals in addition to HIM operations at a 700+ provider multi-specialty medical group. She has a master's in public health with an emphasis in health management & policy and is passionate about creating meaningful and positive healthcare experiences.

Alex Nuno, RHIT, embarked on his career in Health Information Management (HIM) at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in 2003, marking the inception of a journey dedicated to improving healthcare data management. With over two decades of experience in HIM, Alex currently holds the role of Associate Director of HIM, overseeing the Scanning and Release of Information Teams at CHLA. His tenure has been marked by transformative leadership, driving the transition of CHLA from traditional paper-based medical records to a digital platform in the Cerner EMR system. As a passionate advocate for continuous improvement and innovation, Alex's strategic vision and hands-on guidance have played a pivotal role in navigating the complexities of HIM. His active involvement with organizations such as the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA), American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), and California Health Information Association (CHIA) reflects his commitment to staying abreast of industry trends and best practices. Select the appropriate eLearning Program, once on the program group page, you will find all the program access information. |
