As part of CHIA's commitment to encourage, nurture and celebrate exceptional volunteer and professional leadership, the CHIA Recognition Awards honor exemplary service, reward contributions that build the HI knowledge base, recognize excellence in preparing future HI professionals, and encourage new talent and leadership. #2 > Annual Student Scholarship Applications

CHIA Encourages Every Emerging Professional (Student) Member to Apply  

The CHIA Board approved to award up to six (6) student scholarships of $750 to Emerging Professional (Student) Members to assist in completing educational goals in CAHIIIM-accredited health information administration (HIA), health information technology (HIT), or AHIMA approved professional certificate programs. Candidates also include CHIA Professional Members enrolled in HIA or HIT programs seeking specialty or higher HI-related credentials beyond their status (e.g. CCS or CCS-P pursuing RHIT or RHIA) or enrolled in a post-graduate degree program in an HI-related field. Applications accepted through March 1, 2025.
