AHIMA has endorsed HR3514 / S1816, the reintroduced, bipartisan, Improving Seniors' Timely Access to Care Act, to establish a standard process and increased transparency for prior authorization use with Medicare Advantage (MA) plans among other provisions. Please write to your members of Congress and ask them to support this legislation.

  • Minneapolis is calling! Join AHIMA members October 12-14 for AHIMA25 Conference.

  • A CCHIIM motion was made to expand the eligibility requirements for the RHIA exam and create an additional pathway for members who meet ALL the following criteria:
  • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) Certification AND
  • Baccalaureate and/or Master's degree in a Healthcare, Health Informatics, or Business-related field; AND
  • 3+ years of experience in health information management or health informatics
